Megatanks are large, ball-like monsters, possibly the only Monster inX.A.N.A.'s army not based on a living creature. Megatanks are arguably the strongest of X.A.N.A.'s monsters because of its casing, which can't take damage even from another Megatank. However, the force of the impact will probably push its companion into the digital sea. In the first season a Megatank's laser does 50 life points allowing some room for the Lyoko warriors to protect Aelita with their bodies. This changes in season 2, since X.A.N.A.'s monsters get stronger and a whole 100 life points of damage is dealt, this makes the body protection technique far less viable (as the Lyoko Warrior that uses it is devirtualized immediately after using it) but it is still used.
Kankrelats (also known as Roachsters) are the smallest and least intelligent of X.A.N.A.'s monsters on Lyoko. With few hit points and mounted on four short legs, it is not very fast, although it has a formidable laser beam so that it draws the eye to red at the bottom of the monster, just above its legs. The Kankrelats generally move in groups of 5 and only rarely charge headlong into battle. They employ group tactics because of their individual weakness. The greatest danger lies in the fact that the monster is the smallest of all created by X.A.N.A., and is therefore difficult to locate and target. However, a Kankrelat's body is very frail, so much so that even if the targets on their foreheads are not struck, the monster is destroyed.
Hornets resemble a legless mosquito/wasp with five pairs of thin wings adorned with digital-like veins. Hornets usually travel in swarms of three or five with each swarm consisting of a leader and two to four wingmen, though they have been shown to travel in larger groups. Like all of X.A.N.A.'s monsters, the Hornets' weakpoint is the Eye of X.A.N.A. located on their forehead. Hornets can also be defeated if their wings get sliced off (as shown by Yumi's fans, in A Lack of Goodwill). Usually, Hornet fight the best in the mountain sector due to the tall mountains they can hide behind.
Bloks are the most common of XANA's monsters. Despite their average HP, they're very weak due to their weak spot, the Eye of XANA, being on four sides of its body. The Eyes of XANA are sometimes seen on the top of the Bloks. Bloks have three attacks; the normal laser, which needs to be charged up only once before attacking, a Freeze Spray which freezes anything that comes into contact with it, and Fire Rings, which are a Blok's most powerful attack. Three of the Eyes of XANA on the Blok seem to possess the three separate attacks. The last remaining Eye seemingly serves no reason. However, codelyoko.fr claims that the last Eye is the Blok's centre of control, and their weakness. This fact questions how theLyoko Warriors know which Eye to hit to destroy the Blok. In theEvolution series, bloks can stack on top of each other forming a 11x11 wall. This makes it difficult for the Lyoko Warriors since their combined blast does 100AP.
Krabs resemble large mechanical crabs with four long slender scythe-like legs used for climbing and crawling along very steep slopes. Krabs' weak spots are the Eye of X.A.N.A on the back of their heads. Their first laser is a base triple laser that is difficult to aim. Their second weapon is the same laser fired beneath it, and their third weapon is a bright blue beam of electricity also fired beneath it. This beam is believed to cause instant devirtualization when it strikes a foe. However, no one has ever been hit by the beam. They also have the ability to fire standard lasers from the lower set of lenses in a rapid battery, each dealing only 10 hp of damage.Krabs can also use their long scythe-like legs as their third weapon which can cause instant devirtualization. This has never happened on Lyoko either. However, when they were materialized in the real world in the episode "A Bad Turn," the Krabs used their legs to pin their victims to the ground. In the same episode, Ulrich was almost killed when a Krab nearly decapitated him, but was saved by an uncanny Tower Deactivation. Krabs usually travel and co-operate in groups of two to three, but are able to defend themselves alone. Because they are frequently used by X.A.N.A., Krabs are often defeated fairly easily by the Lyoko Warriors.
A Creeper is a snake-like monster that only appears in Sector 5 ofLyoko. Creepers attack by firing lasers from their mouth. Its lower body is mechanical and snakelike, but the upper body is fleshy with 2 legs. The Eye of XANA is on the top of its head, so it is hard to hit. However, a Creeper is so weak that a hit to just about any part of the body will instantly kill it. During devirtualization they turn into puddles of goo with binary code coming out of them. They can climb walls at ease.
Mantas are the strongest flying monsters in X.A.N.A.'s army, far surpassing a Hornet.
The Flying Mantas are superb flying monsters that look like rays. They are often in Sector 5 around the Celestial Dome and generally move in groups. They are white and navy blue and have on their back the Eye of X.A.N.A., their weak point. They also have powerful laserbeams with which they shoot at our heroes. Sometimes Odd is able to climb on their backs and to control them like flying carpets. Once, two Mantas fused themselves together and shot a laser at Odd andUlrich which made their bodies glow red and devirtualized them after some time. This laser is capable of confusing targets into believing they are on Lyoko when on the real world and in the real world while on Lyoko.

The Black Manta created solely for William's transportation. It is a recolored Manta, replacing white with light grey and navy blue with black. It has a light grey square design on the edge of both its wings and black reins used to steer the creature. It scarcely uses its laser, and usually allows William to attack.
Guardians are the only X.A.N.A.'s monsters that doesn't have an eye and can't be struck to destroy it. This is the only monster in X.A.N.A.'s army not based on a real living creature besides theTransport Orb and Megatank.Guardians look like giant orange bubbles that can imprison and disable a person. The only possibe way to defeat a Guardian is to create a false version of the prisoner and place it next to the Guardian to confuse it, causing it to reject its prisoner. Usually, the false is also a bomb which is then detonated when the guardian rejects and expels the real person. The only warriors captured by Guardians were Yumi inImage Problem and Aelita in The Girl of the Dreams. Both of these attacks occurred in Season 1. The Guardians never returned after the first season, possibly because X.A.N.A. realised how inneffective they were.
The Tarantula is one of X.A.N.A.'s monsters, and the first new monster introduced in the second season.
Tarantulas resemble giant spiders with an Eye of X.A.N.A. on its head and four jointed legs. With a higher-than-average 125 life points and the vulnerable Eye on the top of their heads, they are quite difficult to destroy and one alone can wipe out the whole team single-handedly.

The Scyphozoa is a monster designed by X.A.N.A. to steal Aelita's childhood memory when she and her father first came to Lyoko. It serves a number of purposes for X.A.N.A. personally: the predominant two of its tasks are to drain a victim's memory, drain energy, or plant viruses in other warriors.
The Kolossus is the largest monster on Code Lyoko. It has only appeared in the Ice Sector and the Ice Sector Replika. The Kolossus appears in Cold Sweat where it almost destroys the Skid. DuringDown To Earth, it destroys the Skid in a single hit.
Kongre are eel-like enemies found in the digital sea. They are the generic monsters seen there. Kongres are giant piranha monsters created by X.A.N.A. that inhabit the Digital Sea near Replikas. They are the most common monsters seen in the Digital Sea and have only one laser weapon that is fired from their eyes. There is a small yellow orb in the middle of their tails with an Eye of X.A.N.A. on the ball. They travel in groups and seem to be able to communicate with each other.
Sharks are one of the new monsters in Season 4 of Code Lyoko. It is black and white, and it looks like a shark with a long fin on its back. It looks similar to a Manta. It has the Eye of X.A.N.A. on its head. It is one of the newest of the monsters and is related to the Kongre. Instead of firing a normal Laser like most monsters, Sharks fire what appear to be torpedoes from their mouth (similar to the ones the Nav Skids fire, possibly because the Scyphozoa absorbed data from theSkid in The Lake).
The Kalamar is one of the newer monsters, debuting in the fourth season of Code Lyoko. It has an oval black/grey body with four long legs sticking out of it. The Eye of X.A.N.A. is located in the middle of The Kalamar's body. Its movements mimic that of a squid. Unlike other monsters, the Kalamar's primary weapons are not lasers. Instead, its enormous legs hold the target still while it uses the drill on its target to attack. This monster was designed solely to destroy the warriors while surfing the sea, ensuring inminent deletion.
The Polymorphic Clone is a spectre that has the ability to transform into someone/something, instead of possessing someone. The polymorphic clone possesses all the abilities of a normal possessed human, plus the ability to shapeshift. The clone usually disables the person it is immitating to erase suspicion. The latter ability enables them to take on new disguises should their previous one become compromised. A polymorphic clone in the real world can be virtualised into Lyoko and also use its powers there.
It was first seen in X.A.N.A.'s Kiss where X.A.N.A. tried to cause trouble for the gang by kissing random people to make them feel jealous or depressed.

Spectres (also referred to as "ghosts") are extensions of X.A.N.A.'s conciousness that serve as his means of attacking and possessing things in the real world. A person can become immune to possession by X.A.N.A.'s spectres by being virtualized.
As fighting on Lyoko becomes harder and harder and X.A.N.A. starts to force Aelita to delete several of Lyoko's sectors, the group decides to let William join.
However, X.A.N.A. takes advantage of William's ineptitude and uses the Scyphozoa to take control of his mind and body, effectively trapping him in Lyoko. Jeremie creates a stablepolymorphic specter with William's basic memories, and a basic personality in order to prevent suspicion amongst the school. Over time, this "clone" becomes much more popular than William was, but due to his 'dumb' personality, he unknowingly causes trouble for our warriors. His personality also becomes a bit of a gag in the show, best seen in the episode Wreck Room. In episode Down to Earth, William is finally freed from X.A.N.A.'s control, and returns to Earth. However, his behaviour pre-X.A.N.A. causes tension between him and the rest of the warriors, who are reluctant to associate with him further, as seen in Echoes.

William Dunbar joined Code Lyoko in the second season as one of Yumi's classmates. He became the sixth member ofTeam Lyoko, until his first trip into Lyoko, when X.A.N.A.possessed him and used him as his general until episode Down to Earth where he was freed and returned as an ally (although inFight To The Finish he is possessed by X.A.N.A again.) InCode Lyoko Evolution episode Cortex, he was allowed to rejoin the team as the sixth member. But was kicked back out for leaving Odd locked in a closet. He was brought back in again in the episode Rivalry.
Jeremie Belpois is one of the main protagonists of Code Lyoko, and a Lyoko Warrior. Jeremie is 12 years old at the start of the series, but with the intellectual and scientific, gifted and talented mind of someone far beyond his years. He acts as the guide in Lyoko, since he is able to run the computer that no one else can (besides Aelita). It is also Jeremie's discovery of the Supercomputer that commences the group's quest to materialize Aelita into the real world, which is revealed inX.A.N.A. Awakens. He's noble, but sometimes has a short temper. He is also the most vulnerable to being possessed byX.A.N.A., the reason for his succeptability is unknown but it is believed that his lack of experience in fighting X.A.N.A's monsters on Lyoko may contribute to this.
Laura Gauthier is a recurring character who appears in Code Lyoko Evolution as the seventh member of the Lyoko Warriors. She is portrayed by Pauline Serieys.
PersonalityEditShe is very interested and addicted to computer games and virtual reality. Laura has said that she's not so much into the actual computer game, but the design and layout form behind it. She is clever, curious, and ambitious. Her intelligence is perhaps of the same level as Jeremie's, possibly even higher. She spends her time at the library as she likes studying and working a lot.

Aelita Schaeffer (also known as Aelita Hopper, Aelita Stones, or mistakenly Maya) is a human-turned virtual being, and the daughter of Franz Hopper. She is the only girl in Lyoko(as only one exists) and one of the members of Team Lyoko. However, Aelita differs from the other members of Team Lyoko in that she is deeply linked with Lyoko, as she remained as a guardian of this virtual world for ten years after being virtualized by her father, Franz Hopper. Jeremie would later discover Lyoko, and in turn, Aelita (and X.A.N.A.) after turning on theSupercomputer.
Odd is, above all, a very special character, remarkably casual, bringing to the series his own bits of craziness. He clearly shows his complete nonchalance thanks to his look, which is a reflection of his personality. Always dressed in rose or purple, his blond hair always tinted in the front with a blaze of color and combed to a point (thanks to a ton of gel to hold it in place), and his individualistic clothes clearly indicate the cheery and mischievous person who resides within.
Yumi Ishiyama is a highly valued member of the Lyoko Warriors. She is considered the maturest of the group, being a year older than the rest of them, and takes care of the younger members. She is Ulrich's and William's romantic love interest, and Aelita Schaeffer's closest friend.
Ulrich is of average height, with scruffy-looking dark brown hair and dark eyes. In the first three seasons he wears a vest with a shirt over the top and cargo pants, all in shades of green, with trainers. After season three, his outfit changes to a dark green shirt, army jacket and blue jeans. On Lyoko, Ulrich's form is similar to that of a Samurai, with an Oni drawn on his back and a single Katana sheathed on his left hip. In the fourth season this changes to a yellow and brown body suit, he also gets a second Katana and they are both sheathed on his back.
Ulrich lives on the Kadic Academy campus, sharing a roomwith Odd and his dog, Kiwi.

Waldo Franz Schaeffer (also known as Franz Hopper) was an extremely gifted, talented, bright intelligent scientist. He created the supercomputer, the virtual world of Lyoko, and X.A.N.A. He was the husband of Anthea Hopper and father of Aelita.
The creation of Lyoko and X.A.N.ASchaeffer created X.A.N.A. to be the staging grounds and means of the destruction of Project Carthage, a secret government program he created to intercept enemy communications. However, there were people who disliked this and wanted to get rid of him. He repeated the same day over 2,546 times in order for him to accomplish his goals. By the time Lyoko was nearing completion, he became very paranoid and mildly insane.
